How to Reset the Oil Change Indicator Light on a 2011-2015 Chevy Cruze

When your 2011-2015 Chevy Cruze’s oil maintenance light comes on, it indicates that your engine oil and filter are due to be changed. The oil light is based on mileage since the last oil change, so it isn’t cause for concern like a Check Engine light, but when that light comes on, it’s a simple reminder that your Cruze is due for an oil and filter replacement.

Step-By-Step Instructions to Reset the Oil Maintenance Light on Your Cruze

Once you’ve changed your oil or had your oil changed, you’ll want to reset the oil maintenance light on your Cruze so you’ll know when it’s time for another oil change. The following procedures will cover 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Chevy Cruze models, depending on your model’s setup, so be sure to know the specifics for your Cruze before getting started.
