COOLANT FACTS

Types of Coolant

Antifreeze (sometimes referred to as "Coolant"), is a mix of water and chemicals (commonly, ethylene glycol) that works to keep your engine at a constant temperature, guards against overheating and freezing, and keeps your engine lubricated.

Antifreeze is an integral part of your car's cooling system - it keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter - and it does go bad if left alone too long.

NEVER RELY ON THE COOLANT COLOR TO DETERMINE
WHAT TYPE OF ANTIFREEZE YOU NEED!

There are NO standardized rules for manufacturers about what color to use for specific formulations. Color is NOT an indicator for usage.
